"The Battle of Trafalgar" by British artist Joseph Mallord William Turner
Military fiction is exactly what it sounds like: stories about warfare and soldiers, set in the past or present of the real world, rather than the future or a fantasy milieu. It's among the oldest forms of fiction -- one could argue that even The Iliad is partly a form of military fiction. I have a variety of military fiction, most of it set in some time within about the last 200 years.
